About
Chupchik (yiddish) = something small
Hi! I’m T., 31 years old, originally from Germany. Adoption has been
on my mind almost all my life, since my baby niece was placed in
foster care and later in a closed incognito adoption when I was 11.
She had lived with my mother and I for a while before, and losing a
loved one to a closed adoption has had a major impact on my life.
She’s a young woman now but I last saw her a few days before her 2nd
birthday.
I’m also Jewish, a knitter and reader, and in a perfect world I’d be
working part-time for a NGO or charity, paid or unpaid, and have lots
of time for crafts and homemaking left. In the real
world I’m currently working in a telecommunications company.
[B says there will most definitely be his own intro here as well but he
hasn’t come ’round to it yet … ]
We’re planning to adopt from Ethiopia, special needs, and we’re hoping
for the referral of a sibling group of two, ages roughly 2-4. With B’s
age 2 is the lower limit we can be approved for although this might be
flexible as we applied to adopt special needs.
