Sent off!
25 06 2007We encountered yet another delay, more of the saga of the last years of “however unlikely, if it can go wrong it will”, and we hesitated. We’ve come to be ok with starting the procedure before we’ve bought a house etc. because the process takes quite a long time anyway, but we do need to have some financial security if for no other reason than to pay the registration fee. And well, financial stability was the one thing which *again* takes longer than expected …
But I’d been quite obsessed with getting onto the course starting in August if at all possible, so we came to the conclusion that we’d just do it. We’d send off the application. Trusting that everything will fall into place and if not, well then there’s no harm done and we’ll postpone until November. But looking at our track record we’ve had a far better success rate with the things we just went ahead with despite the odds rather than the carefully planned things …
Last night was one weird experience. We filled in the application. I don’t think it took more than 10 minutes to do, we’ve known for such a long time what we want. It felt surreal, and I can’t believe we actually sent it off. This is going to take some time getting used to, I think!
